Help the Canton South area adopt-a-child for holidays

Published:

Each year, the Canton South community comes together to take care of families in the community who need extra help providing Christmas gifts and clothing for their children.

In 2012, the need is even larger than ever. There are 95 families, with 278 children in need of assistance.

Here are the three ways to help.

1. ADOPT-A-CHILD: Purchase one or two new clothing outfits and underwear, socks, with a maximum of $75 per child.

E-mail Jeff Franks at director@bridgepointcs.org to let him know how many children you would like to adopt, boy or girl and approximate age.

2. TOY DRIVE: The goal is to collect 1,000 toys, gift cards and presents.

3. FOOD: Non-perishable food items and personal care items are being collected.

Toys and food can be dropped off at one of the following 10 drop-off sites:

Bridge Point Community Services; Canton Local Administrative Center; Canton South High School; Canton South Dairy Queen; Epworth United Methodist Church; Faircrest Memorial Middle School; Kristina's Gifts; North Industry Christian Church; Peace Lutheran Church and Walker Elementary School.
