Handmade quilt and much more will be raffled at Erik Loy benefit

A handcrafted quilt is just one of many items that can be won at the benefit dinner being held for Erik Loy and family on Saturday, Nov. 17, 5-9 p.m., at the Foltz Community Center.

Members of the Osnaburg Quilt And Fiber Art Guild created a quilt to be raffled off at the dinner. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six. Tickets can by purchased by calling Sharon Jones at 330-575-6799 or purchase them at the dinner.

Other raffles will include theme basket, 50/50 and one for one-fourth of a cow or one-half of a pig.

There will also be a deejay at the event, and the dinner will include pasta, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage.

Erik, a freshman, at East Canton High School, is battling a liver disease and will have to undergo a liver transplant. Much of his care is at the Cleveland Clinic, so driving expenses are adding to the medical costs.

To purchase tickets in advance for the dinner, call Dawn Reichard at 330-284-1168 or Heather Linerode at 330-309-8075 or stop by the Foltz Center.
