Little Country Church in Waynesburg will have a rally day at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12. There will be special music and a covered dish luncheon in the fellowship hall following the service.

TO HOLD BARBECUE
Canton Christian Home, a retirement community in Canton, will have its third annual chicken barbecue fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, on the campus of the home at 2550 Cleveland Ave. NW. The price is $10 for adults and includes one half chicken, baked potato, cole slaw or apple sauce, roll and beverage. Children under 12 cost $5 when they substitute a hot dog for the chicken. TO HAVE RALLY DAY
After worship on Sunday, Sept. 12, there will be food, fun and fellowship at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in East Canton. The rally day theme will be "Caught Having Fun."
LITTLE COUNTRY
TO HOST SPEAKER
A representative of New Destiny Treatment Center, formerly known as Barberton Rescue Mission located in Clinton, will speak at Little Country Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5. The center uses biblical principles and modern treatment techniques to end dependency on drugs and alcohol. Returning husbands to wives, fathers to their children and sons to their parents is the work of New Destiny Treatment Center. With God's help, lives are changed and families reunited.
CATHOLIC WOMEN TO MEET
On Saturday, Sept. 18, a regular meeting of the Youngstown Diocesen Council of Catholic Women will be held at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Andover. Registration and light breakfast will be at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will include a light lunch and guest speaker and will conclude by 2:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling Jean Hollis at 440-293-6218 or Georgia Lee Eshelman at 330-834-0354 by Sept. 10.
FREE LUNCH GIVEN
To say thank you to the community, the Peace Lutheran Church Lutheran Men in Mission and men of the church are sponsering a free community cookout on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 4- 7 p.m. or until the food runs out. Anyone in the community is invited to come and share a meal in appreciation for their part of God's work in the community.
CLOTHING GIVEAWAY TO BE SEPT. 13
Louisville Church of God will hold a clothing giveaway and soup kitchen from 3-6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13. The church is located at 1520 California Ave.
OTTERBEIN TO HOLD CORN FESTIVAL
The annual Indian corn festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 25 at Otterbein United Methodist Church.
TRINITY TO BLESS PETS
Magnolia Trinity Lutheran Church will host a Blessing of the Pets service on Saturday, Sept. 25. A pet parade will precede the service at 10:45 a.m. Parade participants should meet at 10:30 a.m. at the former Magnolia School grounds. The parade will travel down High Street, then north on Brady Street to the church, located at 205 Harrison Street, Magnolia. The blessing ceremony begins at 11 a.m. in the yard behind the church. All pets are required to be on a leash or in a carrier. Everyone is welcome to attend, with or without a pet.
