Clappers celebrate 50 years

Robert and Marie Clapper of Osnaburg Township will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 28, 1-3 p.m., at the Foltz Community Center, 224 N. Wood St., East Canton.

Bob and Marie (Sagerman) Clapper were married Aug. 28, 1960, by Rev. Hegnauerat St. Paul's United Church of Christ in East Canton. Bob was a farmer when they first married and continues the tradition today. In addition to farming he has worked for the National Farmers Organization. He has been involved with various agricultural groups and currently operates a business with Marie traveling to numerous farm shows representing their Ag Wrap Bale Wrapper line of farm equipment.

They have lived all their lives and raised three children in Mapleton. They are the parents and in-laws of Mike (Beth) Clapper of Osnaburg Township., Michelle (John) Parker of Osnaburg Township., Mark (Christa) Clapper of Marshall Mi. They have nine grandchildren, Don (Emily) Hester, Nichole, Crystal and Andy Parker, Tara Cody, CJ, Carter and Carson Clapper. They are the proud great grandparents of Lucas Hester.

The open house will be hosted by their children and grandchildren.
