TRINITY TO HOST

WORSHIP AND BRUNCH

All are invited by Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church to the 6th Annual Worship and Brunch in the Magnolia Park on July 25. Service begins at 9 a.m. with brunch following the service. Bring a covered dish to share and a folding chair. B5 Brass Group will provide the music.

BREAKFAST GIVEN IN WAYNESBURG

Light of Christ Church's Backpack Ministry, a children's nutritional program, is taking place from 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 31 at Waynesburg American Legion Hall. The food is for children who qualify for free lunch programs at their schools.

Recipients will be given seven breakfasts per week, for each child in a family. Participants should bring their own backpacks.

PASTA COOK-OFF

TO BE HELD

Indian Run Christian Church will hold a pasta cook-off from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, July 24. Come out and vote for your favorite dish. For more information call 330-488-2938.

WIDOW'S MIGHT

TO MEET

On Wednesday, July 28, The Widow's Might will meet at Crossroads Restaurant at 5 p.m. For more information call 330-866-2552.

St. JAMES TO HOLD

CASINO/COOKOUT NIGHT

St. James School in Waynesburg will be holding its annual ribs cookout and casino night on Saturday, Aug. 7 in the church pavilion. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The evening includes a reverse raffle drawing for the cost of $150. A ticket includes 6 dinners and a chance in the raffle. The menu for the dinner includes barbecue chicken, ribs, rigatoni, salad, dessert, pop, beer and wine. The casino night will feature video horse races, black jack, poker tables and a 50/50 drawing. If you wish to purchase a ticket, or for more information, call Lisa Pozderac at 330-627-4367 or St. James Church at 330-866-9449. A $15 ticket will purchase the meal but not the raffle entry.
