The Greater East Canton Community Development Association and the Foltz Community Center held their 15th anniversary dinner on June 4 in celebration of 15 years serving the area's seniors, youth and service clubs.
A Stark County charitable foundation offered a matching grant challenge to raise up to $25,000 to enhance the equipment and wireless capability of the Foltz Center and to support continuing service to the community.
Everyone worked together to make it a successful event attended by more than 300 people. The support from the community was exceptional. The charitable foundation's challenge was met and exceeded.
Dale W. Brunner, president of the Greater East Canton Community Development Association, expressed gratitude to all the individuals, businesses and civic organizations who contributed to the event.
