Edith Boyd will celebrate her 90th birthday on March 10.
The family is hosting an open house on Sunday, March 7, from 1-3 p.m. at East Sparta Recreation. Mrs. Boyd requests no gifts.
Edith was born in Youngstown to Ollie (Brothers) and William Neiss. She is an East Sparta High School graduate.
Edith was married for 62 years to Melvin Boyd, who died on Feb. 14, 2004.
She is the mother of Judy (Dale) Garris, Jeff Boyd, Dave (Anne) Boyd and the late Thomas Boyd.
She has four grandchildren, David (Barbara) Boyd, Carri (James) Meek, Travis (Nicole ) Boyd and Carrie (Wilbur) Horner
Her seven great-grandchildren are Erika, and Michael Boyd, Natalie, Tyler and Camryn Meek and Rebecca and Jackson Boyd.
