GRANGE MEETING
Robertsville Grange 1784 met on Feb. 12, with Master Bill Walter conducting business. Mary Margaret Myers and Mary Creighton were door greeters. Ila June Ramser won the cash door prize.
The family activity chairman announced they are collecting eyeglasses, and the cookie contest will be held at the next meeting.
Deaf Activity Chairman Susan Croston gave a brief report on the deaf.
Master Walter thanked the door greeters and lunch committee from the month of January, for their contributions.
Thank-you notes were read from Refuge of Hope and the Pegasus Farm.
Gerry Lotze read a letter from Sarah Hawk, a deaf girl, who played in the band at the Rose Bowl Parade. She also read the yearly treasury report and was given a rising vote of thanks for her efforts.
The organization voted to give cash donations to Hammer and Nails, Hunger Task Force and Habitat for Humanity.
The next meeting will be held on Feb. 26. The Robertsville Community Institute will be held on March 2, and the Stark County Pomona will meet on March 6, at Pike Grange.
The program, arranged by Louise Anthony, lecturer, was a Valentine party. She opened with some Christian humor, sang “Jesus Saves” and all sang “Jesus Loves Me.”
The following couples were in a relay game: Tim and Carolyn Mann, Bill and Nancy Walter, Dick and Gerry Lotze, Dave and Arlene Morrison and Carl and Louise Anthony. The men sang “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” followed by the women singing it too.
The program concluded with a skit by Bill Walter and Dave Morrison. Lunch followed, under the charge of Joan Miller.
