SV woman in Malone grand piano extravaganza

CANTON-- Sandra Carnes of the Sandy Valley area is producer of the The Malone University School of Arts and Sciences-Department of Music Grand Piano Extravaganza VII, on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. at the historic Palace Theatre.

Dr. W. Robert Morrison, of Canton, an organist at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, will offer pre-concert music on the Palace Theatre's Kilgen pipe organ beginning at 7:30 p.m. Serving as master of ceremonies will be Rod Carnes. Now a Malone University tradition, this spectacular event, produced by Carnes, professor of music, will feature eight grand pianos furnished by Steinway Hall of Akron. The program features as many as 16 pianists on stage at one time.

Grand Piano Extravaganza VII will feature performances by students, faculty, friends and alumni of Malone University, as well as a special performance by students from the Malone Piano Preparatory Program.
