It has been over a year since my last thank you letter. We have been combing the area looking for better ways to buy food. That is the reason for writing this letter. When our government funding was cut, the call went out to the Sandy Valley area and the response was magnificent.
A big thank you goes out to the area churches, who repeatedly responded month after month; the businesses of the area that continue to fill our coffers when funds run low; and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the local towns who collected food and clothing. Also, St. James Elementary always wants to know what kind of food we need.
Thanks to the two churches that went above and beyond in monetary donations for our crop walk. A big thank you also goes out to American Landfill for always helping us with turkeys on Thanksgiving. Last, but not least, the private individuals who continue to donate month after month for as long as I can remember... thank you, thank you. To the volunteers who give their time unloading trucks and carrying out food for clients, we thank you.
If we could, we would thank each and every person individually with a hand shake. Without you, we could not exist.
We close by saying God Bless each of you.
