The Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped in any way with the 2012 Sandy & Beaver Canal Days.
This is a joint effort by the Sandy & Beaver Canal Society, the Magnolia Lions Club and the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department members. Our deepest thanks goes out to all of them.
However, it would not be a success without the countless hours of volunteer work logged by a number of people, like those setting up and tearing down the stands.
We also would like to recognize and thank the following individuals and businesses for their support: Dan Trbovich of Ace Roll-Off Service for the dumpster, Don and Kathy Pontones of Don's Custom Meats for the great sausage, Steineck's Bakery for the buns, Greg Lancaster's Home Improvement for donating the fire department's 50/50 raffle tickets and Joe Little for cleaning out the canal in the village park.
We would also like to thank Don and Shirley Nicholson; Jean Roberts; Elizabeth Manson; everyone who donated pies, cakes and cookies for the fireman's eat stand and everyone who patronized the eat stand. A special thanks to Bonnie Welker who diligently worked to makes this year's canal days a success.
Congratulations to Amy Leichtamer, the fire department 50/50 raffle winner.
We appreciate everyone's patronage at canal days and look forward to seeing you in August of 2013.
