APPLAUSE

Published:

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank everyone who brought their little ones to participate in the Waynesburg Community Easter Egg hunt sponsored by the Waynesburg Historical Society on Saturday, April 3.

We had just shy of 100 master egg hunters who located 63 dozen eggs in less than three minutes!! That must be a record!!

To the area businesses and community members that supported the Historical society to make this a fun community event, your never ending support is deeply appreciated. Donations of stuffed animals were given out by the Easter Bunny along with treat bags filled with surprises of candy and toys. Some children went home with gold dollar coins or $2 bills donated by Cibo's Restaurant. Many also found prize golden eggs that were donated by Fluppy's; each can be turned in for a single ice cream cone of your choice. West End Pizza I & II donated the pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Any pictures not already picked up can now be picked up at West End Pizza free of charge.

The Ladies Auxiliary for American Legion Post 432 donated a large portion of the candy that filled the Easter eggs and treat bags. So many local people dropped off prizes, plastic eggs and chocolate bunnies, that it was a huge success! A big thank you to everyone!!
