Letter to the editor,
I am writing in regards to the Atwood Lodge.
I have written a letter to John Boccieri to try to get the lodge converted to a casino. I don't gamble but since the lodge is going to be closed, why not lease this to some organization to run a casino?
This would put a lot of people to work. Where are the mayors of all the small towns that are going to lose money or could make money? Where are the county commissioners in Carroll County? Are they out trying to keep their citizens working?
Don't wait for this place to close before you act. I heard that at Pittsburgh they built a large pole barn and made money until the casino is built.
If you never try you will never get. Don't wait until all those people down there at the lodge lose their job. Do something.
