To the editor,
First of all I want to thank all the voters who voted for the Waynesburg Council members that they choose to vote for. It looks like the people have spoken loud and clear with the power of the vote to get rid of the trouble on council.
After the votes were counted we were blessed to have been made aware of all the things that Fred Pisani thinks he got done all by himself. As I read his "pat on the back," I about got sick at my stomach. What kind of person has to do something like this? He must have forgot that he is not the only person on council, member of the Legion post, or resident of the village.
He forgot to put some important things that he really has done in his letter, so I thought that I would share them with everyone. He forgot to write that he was seeking legal action against the town about having to look at a cemetery. Are you kidding me? This is the best looking part of Waynesburg! I would love to only have to worry about looking at a clean, well maintained property next to me.
Fred being a member of council should have known that by seeking legal action he could cost the village approximately $5,000 in a lawsuit deductible. This town can't keep the streets lights on and will have to make other cuts in the future just to operate, but somehow you feel you need some bushes planted.
Thanks Fred for making people aware that if the levy was passed some of the money would have had to be used to go against you in court. You may have caused the levy to be voted down.
I was also upset that he forgot to write that he cost the Waynesburg Baseball Association approximately $5,000 due dragging his feet and thinking he could get more money for the trees near the fields that blew down in a wind storm and are now worthless.
Why hasn't he shown his face at any council meeting since his "I changed the world letter"? He is costing this town $50 every time he doesn't show up for a meeting. You should be ashamed of yourself. It looks like after Dec. 31,2009 there will be no "I" man on council and it will return to being a team.
