The Volunteer Firemen of Magnolia, Inc., would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the 2009 Sandy & Beaver Canal Days a success.
A special thanks to the Sandy & Beaver Canal Society for all the planning and preparation, and the Magnolia Lions Club for their help and assistance in co-sponsoring the three-day event.
Our special thanks also goes to Don and Shirley Nicholson, Clint Durst, Don's Custom Meats, Greg Lancaster of Lancaster's Home Improvement, Jean Roberts, Claudia Rogers and everyone who donated pies, cakes or desserts for our firemen's eat stand. If there is anyone we omitted, we apologize, and we are grateful for their help and support.
The fire department 50/50 raffle was won by "Buck" Larson and the winner of the firefighter teddy bear, donated by Lisa Shaw of Mineral City, was Mike Janson.
We would like to sincerely think everyone for their support during our yearly fund-raiser, and we hope to see you again next year.
