The Louisville Area YMCA features pickleball on Wednesdays or Fridays.
The game is played from 9 a.m. to noon on those days. It is free for members or a day pass can be purchased at the front desk.
Sue Himes is the instructor.
Although seniors enjoy pickleball, it is loved by all ages. It is a cross between table tennis and regular tennis. The game is played with wooden paddles, a ball similar to a wiffle ball and a net.
The ball travels at a fourth of the speed of a tennis ball. The game also has its own rules.
