Osnaburg Township website to receive update

OSNABURG TWP.-- Township trustees during their Oct. 10 regular meeting voted to have Bill Slish of Casray Digital Production create an update on the township website.

Updates will include visitors to the website to see what is taking place now and what has in the past. Listed information would include trustees and meetings.

The site was set to be running in about three days following the meeting. Trustees voted to accept the update at the cost of $450.

In fire business, trustees approved the payment of boots for one township firefighter at the cost of $270. The purchase of two portable radios was also approved not to exceed $350 each. Assistant fire chief Amy Parker provided an action report which included 16 advanced calls, four fire calls and two mutual aids provided.

In road business, trustees heard a culvert for a driveway was replaced in Smithlynn Allotment. Road superintendent Lee Gonzalez reported the department checked of the intersection of Motts and Route 172. Catch basins were checked on Midday and Clearhaven for repairs. Culverts were unplugged on Hedgerose and Mapleton. Tires were also picked up on Hedgerose. Limbs were trimmed in Woodland Allotment. Gravel was pushed back into a driveway on Weimer and a mattress and box springs were picked up on Springs and Lotz Avenue.

In other business, trustees:

RECEIVED $275 turned in for zoning permits;

HEARD the township road crew provided help when several cars were lined up at the cemetery for the funeral. Brian Lowery informed trustees he would take money from the cemetery account to pay for the road crew's hours in which it assisted;

APPROVED a motion allowing Charles E. Harris to help preparing 2015-2016 auditing notes at a cost of $400.
