/ Let me tell you about a fun way to raise money. You hold an auction.Everyone has heard about auctions, but I had not heard about this type of event called a quarter auction. You purchase an auction paddle for $5 (extra paddles for $2). Many items will be auctioned off at the high school Smith Gym, on Sunday, Sept. 25. Doors open at 1 p.m. The auction starts at 2 p.m. Each paddle sold will have number on it, and you bid in quarters (this is actual 25 cent pieces) so be sure to bring some quarters. They will have quarters available also). When the bidding ends, the numbers on the paddles will be tossed around in a spinning ball, and the number that comes up will be the person who will get the auctioned item. As you bid your quarters, the East Canton cheerleaders, will collect your quarters. This is how they raise the money which helps the East Canton cheerleaders.
