The Osnaburg Historical Society has two open houses planned at the Werner Inn.

Visitors may tour the historic building on Aug. 29 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Various items from collections of members and friends of the society will be on display.

Other displayed items include a collection and memorabilia about England's royal family. Another will feature green-handled kitchen ware which was popular in the 1930s and 40s. Plans are to have 2-4 collections on this day.

On Sunday, Sept. 25 from 1:30-3:30 p.m., the historical society will pay tribute to Jean Peters. The graduate of East Canton High School became an actress and starred in many films in the 1940s and '50s. Peters is probably best known for having been married to Howard Hughes. Information about movies that Jean Peters appeared in will be featured. Refreshments, including popcorn and movie theater candy will be available.
