East Sparta council receives park update

EAST SPARTA -- Park board member Paula Erickson told village council members during their June 23 meeting they have been "overwhelmed with the support" of the park from the community this summer.

"Everything seems to be going well," Erickson said.

Erickson told village officials a lot of calls have been received with interest in a USA Archery program to be offered. She also discussed the possible need of hiring more employees.

Erickson additionally reported items are selling well, including ice cream, at the park's concession stand. She noted an adjustment needs to be made in terms of buying items "because we seem to be running low."

/DISCUSSED placement of signage between the village municipal building and fire station.
