Sandy Valley alum named principal of Hasenstab Architects

AKRON SEmD Daniel Herstine and Brian Minerwere recently named principals of Hasenstab Architects.

Herstine and Miner join the firm's current principals, bringing the ownership group to six.

Herstine, a graduate of Sandy Valley High School and Kent State University, has been with Hasenstab Architects since 1999. During his 17-year tenure with Hasenstab, Herstine has played an integral role within the firm's healthcare design studio, incorporating evidence-based and patient-centered design into his projects. He is currently managing projects for Aultman Hospital, the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services and Summa Health System, including a nearly 300,000-square foot campus consolidation for the OMHAS North Coast Behavioral Healthcare facility.

Miner, also a graduate of Kent State University, has worked on a variety of higher education, laboratory and healthcare projects since joining Hasenstab Architects in 1999. His well-rounded expertise is an asset to the management of our current and future clients. He will also help lead the team with sustainable design and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design efforts.

Miner was recently working on projects for Kent State University, The Ohio State University and Ohio University. He is also the co-founder of Elves & More Northeast Ohio, an organization that gifts bicycles to children in impoverished neighborhoods during the holiday season.
