EC Middle School students collect almost 8,000 articles of clothing

East Canton Middle School students involved in Quest Recovery and Prevention Services Allstars program organized the fifth annual clothing drive that benefited the January East Canton Church of God's clothing give-away.

Students in grades six through eight, who were involved included, front row from left, Collin Ackerman, Aaron Fernandez, Matt Byrd; second row, Skylar Fletcher, Nahdia Hmiden, Cindy Seabolt, Sam Weiland; third row, Hannah Lowry, Bryanna Hersman, Samantha Hill, Kayla Baker, Kasey Robinson, Cheyenne Helms, Jayla Sherock and Joe Popick.

The students involved in Quest's Allstars program spent every lunch period for two weeks sorting, organizing and folding clothing, which was donated by families in East Canton.

Each homeroom was challenged to bring in as many clothes as possible to help the cause. Ms. Beth Bushey's homeroom brought in just over 3,000 articles of clothing to win the homeroom challenge for the fourth year.

Overall the students collected 7,763 articles of clothing.
