The East Sparta Civic Association is working to raise funds for the 2010 Homecoming Fireworks Fund. The fireworks will be held this year on Saturday, July 10.
The civic association is selling Easter Candy, having a 50/50 raffle, a May basket raffle and a supper on June 5 at the East Sparta Community Building.
Candy will be sold on Saturday, March 13, in the East Sparta Marketplace from 8 a.m. to noon. Candy will also be available once a month at the community suppers April 2, May 7 and June 5, after 3 p.m. Or anyone interested in ordering candy can call 330-866-2004 or 330-866-3205.
The basket raffle will include $5 tickets for any of the 15 theme baskets. Drawings will be held on weekends during the month of May. All tickets will remain in the drawing until picked. The 50/50 raffle will be drawn at the June supper. Tickets for both raffles are now available and can be purchased by contacting 330-866-3205.
An Easter Egg Hunt is set for March 27 at noon at the East Sparta Community Park sponsored by the East Sparta Civic Association. Children from age 0 - 12 are eligible and will be broken down by age groups. There will be prizes for special eggs found, so come and bring the kids. Candy and raffle tickets will also be available at the Easter Egg Hunt.
The East Sparta Garage Sales will be held on May 7-8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flowers and candy will be available for purchase for Mothers Day at the East Sparta Marketplace starting at 9 a.m. Raffle tickets will also be available.
