On Jan. 24 local gals from the Silver Stars took part in a twirling and dance competition at GlenOak High School.
In their perspective age divisions the following girls earned these awards:
Canton South student, Ashley Eckroate, took second place in beginning modeling and second place beginning best appearing.
Connie Rosencrance of Canton South took fifth place in beginning modeling and sixth place in beginning twirl.
Hannah Loury of East Canton took third place in beginning modeling and fourth place beginning best appearing.
Erin Thompson took fourth place in beginning modeling and fourth place in spec beginning twirl.
Davinee Rohr took second place beginning modeling and second place best appearing.
Kairi Coata of Canton South took third place in beginning modeling.
Riley Cross took first place in beginning modeling and first place in beginning best appearing.
Lucy Thompson, a Canton South majorette, competed in the soloist show routine division.
Hannah Loury competed in the beginning twirl division.
