Beech Creek 13th annual garden symposium is set

Feb. 16 will be the 13th annual Beech Creek Garden Symposium, 7:45 a.m. to 4:05 p.m., at the R.G. Drage Career Center at 6805 Richville Dr. SW., Massillon.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Laura Deeter, PhD., will speak to "All Gardens Great and Small."

The other sessions are Gardening Paradigms; Shade Gardening-Beyond Hosta; Butterfly Gardening; Aromatherapy in the Kitchen-Food for Mind, Body and Soul; Proven Winners, Old and New; Continuous Color in the Garden; and All About Seeds including a Seed Exchange

Workshop Make and Take will be fresh flower arrangements and gardening

The cost to attend is $45 for those who are not members of Beech Creek and $35 for members or horticulture students. Those taking the work shop will have an additional $20 fee for supplies. Optional lunch will be $8.

Vendors will sell books, live plants, local honey, garden art, pottery, homemade foods, jewelry, soaps, potpourri and candles.
