McKinley Museum is holding day after Thanksgiving event

The McKinley Museum will be having a Day after Thanksgiving family fun event beginning at 10 a.m.

There will be a scavenger hunt available all day and Jeff Risher will be there in the afternoon with his reptiles.

The following shows will be:

Under Pressure--10 a.m.

Meet the Animals--11 a.m.

Electric Show--12 p.m.

Magic of Science--1 p.m.

Under Pressure--2 p.m.

Electric Show--3 p.m.

In the Keller Gallery, the popular dollhouse show is back, featuring all new dollhouses and miniatures on loan from miniature enthusiasts in the community. Highlights include a large Victorian dollhouse from the museum's collection, a Swiss Chalet, a Christmas room box, a collection of miniature pianos, and more.

The planetarium will be presenting the show Celestial Light at 1 p.m.

Visitors to the planetarium will explore some of the cultural views of the night sky, and how our ancestral astronomers understood the world and the sky above.

Children must be five years old and accompanied by an adult to attend a planetarium show.
