Zombie ArtVasion coming on First Friday

Published:

Halloween's history Zombie ArtVasion is very much alive on Nov. 2, as First Friday scares up some fun in the Canton Arts District.

The evening begins with stopping at The Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography, where make-up artist Darryl Parsons will turn participants from cute to creepy, before and after his full special effects demo at 7 p.m.

"The God of Carnage," a play performed by Seat of The Pants Productions, will be at the Players Guild Theatre.

"The Nightmare before Christmas" will be shown for free at Canton Palace.

The LifeShare blood bank will open for business, while "the living dead" from the Ananda Center roam the streets to prey and play.

Folk music will be performed by Yankee Bravo. Visitors can see the Mechanic/Organic, the haunting new show at Translations, featuring the work of Danny Saathoff and Annette Yoho Feltes.

Music will be heard all night, including a full-line up Buzzbin Art and Music Shop, Denny Ott at B-Side Winery, Justin Moyar at Muggzwigz, and Lare Sattler at Subway.

Cider, kids' activities and First Friday T-shirt are available.

First Friday is sponsored by Stark Community Foundation and presented by the downtown Canton Special improvement District and ArtsinStark.
