Ken Bratschie opened Dad's Tobacco Shop, at 117 North Main St., Waynesburg, in August of 2011 to provide a myriad of items for tobacco users.
The shop, which is opened from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, offers a few major-line cigarettes, as well as various other tobacco products. The main line of products at the store, however, include all that is needed for rolling cigarettes. This includes various bags of loose tobacco, tubes and machines to roll cigarettes.
Cigars of all price ranges, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff and more is also sold. Zippo lighters and supplies for lighters are also a part of the store's offerings.
Volt electronic cigarettes, batteries and accessories are available at the store, for those customers trying to get away from the use of tobacco products.
Items such as candy bars, pop, chips and water are also available.
Bratschie has resided in Waynesburg since 2005. He and his wife Shannon have two children, Dawn, 9 years old, and Abbi, 4. Bratschie also has grown children from a former marriage.
Bratschie said he supports the schools and community, and he is a big fan of high school football. In the fall, he can often be found watching a Sandy Valley Cardinal game. At one time, he could be found watching GlenOak and Muskingum College, when an older son played football at both schools.
