Barb Wilson and Diana Kindler have been friends and fellow business women for more than 10 years. A year ago they moved their businesses to Louisville and have adjoining shops at 217 E. Main Street, across from Beatty's Sports. This weekend they are having a party to celebrate the anniversary of the move to Louisville.

Stop in July 19-21 for free ice cream and a chance to win a porcelain doll and a gift basket. Chocolates will be buy one, get one half price. Free mats will be available with a full framing order.

Diana's Delectables is a gift shop with a great variety of items including collectibles such as porcelain dolls, wreaths, jewelry, candles and lots of chocolate. Their specialties include a homemade peanut butter made from a 30-year-old family recipe. It is used in Diana's buckeyes and quarter pound peanut butter cups. The caramel is especially good too.

All the chocolates are wax and chemical free. The chocolate covered fruits are beautiful as well as tasty. Try the strawberries, grapes, bananas and pineapple covered with milk, dark or white chocolate and drizzled with another color of chocolate.

Chocolate Bacon? Stop in and give it a try. Diana's chocolate popcorn is a favorite for many. There is English toffee pop corn, chocolate pecan popcorn and some sugar free options as well.

Consider ordering your next gift basket from this shop based on a theme and price-range of your choice. These personalized gifts can go a long way in communicating your appreciation for someone.

Having been a chocolatier for more than 30 years, Kindler has been featured on Good Morning America where her Turtles were a big hit and Dick Goddard of Channel 8 loves her chocolate peanut butter pretzels, she reports.

If you are looking for an interesting speaker for your next event, call Kindler at 330-581-1399 to schedule a "History of Chocolate" talk. This presentation can entertain audiences of all ages and be tailored to any time span.

Once each quarter, these gals host a girl's night out. They offer a fun time to get away and indulge in some free food and shopping. A psychic is available for an interesting twist on the evening. The next "Girl's Night Out" is Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 5:30 p.m.

Old time candy from the 60's is another specialty at Diana's Delectables. Do you know someone turning 50? A tin from Diana's filled with Teaberry gum and other nostalgic goodies might be the conversation piece of the party.

Just next door to Diana's is Barb's Framing. She provides a professional framing service for just about anything. She has affordable in-stock prints to purchase and have framed or bring her a special old or new picture to be dressed up. Some of her prints are by local artists.
