Expert tax service available at Crossroads H & R Block

H & R Block is ready to find ways to save money on your taxes and they are conveniently located in the Crossroads Shopping Center on the corner of State Routes 183 and 800 near Sandy Valley High School.

Pat Griffith and Kim Carrick are up to date on all the tax changes for 2009 and will provide expert tax preparation for the Magnolia area. Call them at 330-866-9701 on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

W-Z Early Access is a new free service that allows clients, if their employer participates, to use a personal computer to send an electronic copy of their W-2 form to an H & R Block office up to three weeks earlier than they would receive it in the mail. Some of the changes in tax law include: earned tax credit, first time homebuyer credit, hope energy credits, additional child tax credit, uniform definition of a child, making work pay and government retiree credits, vehicle sales tax, unemployment compensation, American opportunity tax credit, retirement plan changes and casualty loss deduction.

In addition to the list above, there have been changes in the inflation adjusted amounts in: standard deductions, exemptions, adoptions, education, kiddie tax, itemized deductions, long-terms care insurance, Medicare part B, retirement plans, IRA's, retirement savings account, alternative minimum tax, healthy savings contributions, alternate minimum tax, healthy savings accounts, social security and Section 179 deductions.
