Sandy Township
July 16 —The police investigated an assault complaint that occurred in the 10000 block of Bowmont.
A 16-year old male was arrested for theft after stealing a car from the 7400 block of Mottice.
July 18 —The police issued warrants for the arrest of 35 year-old male after a domestic violence incident in the 7300 block of Sequoia.
The police investigated a dog bite complaint in the 8200 block of Ravenna.
July 19 —The police were called to investigate a sexual assault that occurred in Sandy Township. The matter remains under investigation.
The police were called to a domestic dispute in the 8100 block of Ravenna. The officer was able to control the scene without further incident.
July 20 —The police were called to 8700 block of Waynesburg Dr. for a private property accident report.
The police were called to investigate a break in complaint in the 7500 block of Brookford.
A 14 year-old male was arrested following a domestic violence incident. The suspect was transported to Faircrest Juvenile Facility.
July 24 —The police arrested a 20 year old male after a brief pursuit. The suspect was charged for speeding, failure to comply, and resisting arrest. The suspect was booked into the Stark County Jail.
The police were called to investigate a break in attempt in the 7700 block of Wyandot Circle.
Village of Magnolia
July 17 —The police assisted Stark County Sheriff Department in the attempt to serve a warrant in the 8700 block of Goodland.
July 20 —The police were called to investigate a telecommunication harassment complaint. The suspect was contacted and advised not to contact the complainant anymore or face criminal charges.
Village of East Sparta
July 16 —A 77 year-old Bowerston resident was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence after a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of State Route 800 and Westbrook. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.
The police were called to investigate a reckless driving complaint on Chestnut in East Sparta. The suspect vehicle was identified and the driver was advised any further incidents could result in charges.
July 20 —The police were called to investigate a criminal damaging complaint in the 9400 block of Maple in East Sparta.
The police were called to investigate a break-in complaint in the 1800 block of Chestnut in East Sparta.
