POLICE REPORT

Sandy Township

Jan. 25-- The police responded to a suspicious person call in the 8100 block of Elson. Upon arrival, the investigating officer discovered the victim's ex-wife was at the residence to pick up their child. The victim stated the child did not want to go with the suspect and she was asked to leave. The suspect was informed of the situation and left the residence. The suspect then parked further away from the residence and was later discovered. The suspect was then notified if she continued in her course of action she could be arrested. After a brief discussion, the suspect again left the area.

Jan. 25-- The police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 7600 block of Goodland. According to the officer's report, the suspect had allegedly forced entry into the residence at that address and damaged several pieces of property. The officer noted several inconsistencies in the report in regards to the victim's statements. The officer then advised all the parties not to have contact with each other again.

Jan. 28-- The police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 6300 block of Willowdale. According to the officer's report, the individual in question has a history of mental health issues. When the officer made contact, he felt the individual needed medical attention. The individual was then transported to a local hospital. Two days later, the same individual needed transported back to Stark County Crisis Center for further evaluation.

Jan. 29-- The police department investigated a two-car accident that occurred at the intersection of Elson and Willowdale. According to the crash report, the suspect failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned in front of the victim. Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene and there were no reported injuries. The suspect was cited for the accident.

Magnolia

Jan. 31-- The police responded to a one-car accident on State Route 44 north of Fairhill. According to the officer's report, when he arrived on scene he found a silver pick-up rolled over in the field off of State Route 44 in Osnaburg Township. Since this area was outside the jurisdiction of the police department the officer contacted Ohio State Highway Patrol to investigate the accident. Once the state patrolman arrived on scene, the officer resumed his normal patrol.

East Sparta

Feb. 5-- The police responded to a stolen vehicle call in the 2200 block of Poplar. According to the officer's report the victim stated that her 2000 Honda four-wheeler was taken from her residence sometime during the week of Feb. 1. The victim stated the four-wheeler had been chained and that they found the lock broken where the four-wheeler was located.
