Canton Local Schools will celebrate the coming of another school year with ReadyFest. The Walker Elementary event will be on Wednesday, Aug. 18. Grades 1-3 are welcome to visit new classrooms, meet teachers and get a head start on paper work from 4-5:30 p.m. Grades 2-4 will have those opportunities from 5:30-7 p.m.
Faircrest Memorial Middle School will host ReadyFest on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 4-7:30 p.m.
Parents should watch for a mailing from the schools with more information on this important happening. The first day of school for students grades 1-8 is Aug. 24.
