The Medicine Center Pharmacy in Louisville will host a health fair, Friday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the store's parking lot. The fair is free and open to the public.
Medical and health experts will provide free screenings including: blood pressure, blood sugar, carbon monoxide, body fat percentage, body mass index, glaucoma, etc. Information regarding diabetic shoes, ostomy products and general health care topics also will be available.
My 101.7 WHOF morning show host, Gary Rivers, will be on hand for live remote broadcasts Friday, noon to 2 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can visit with Stark Parks' FeLeap the Frog and view a live animal display Friday afternoon.
The Louisville Police Department will conduct free computerized fingerprinting for children ages infant, 17 each day. The fingerprinting program was donated by Safe Kids Identification Program (SKIP) and records a complete background of parent and child information along with a digital photo and fingerprint of the child.
LifeShare Community Blood Services, Inc. is conducting a blood drive Friday. Each donor will receive a T-shirt and refreshments.
Hot dogs will be served Friday and Saturday by the Louisville Lions Club. Children can ride the giant inflatable Super Slide and the Louisville High School cheerleaders will be providing face painting. Attendees may register to win door prizes from several area businesses.
Total Tae Kwon Do will perform martial arts demonstrations on Saturday.
