The current Mayor Flesher has " regained creditability with Mr. Bath and police department", says who?
FACTS:
It still takes the police 60 minutes to respond to anything other than a traffic stop. Check dispatching records, which are why they aren't reported monthly.
Waynesburg is "known throughout the counties for being a speed trap."
What robberies have been solved? Nothing reported again monthly or at all.
The only thing being reported is that supposedly we have 98% coverage? Bodies doing nothing are not productive or cost effective. This village has been run with one police chief since as long as I can remember, and Jack Bankert did a knock up job! He was involved in the community as a life long resident.
We had a great well diversed Police chief Mayle and Bill Bath & his magnificent 7 village members, ran him out of here. Mayle was retired from Cleveland police force, had set up Cleveland schools with lock down procedures and systems early on, and was actively getting the community involved in watch dog program.
The mayor allows the police to sit with their spot lights shining at the doors of area businesses, harassing paying customers so that they take there business elsewhere.
We are a village of 923 people, now why do we need three police cruisers, gas and insurance for them? One cruiser is only needed, get them some bicycles for them to ride around on. That is much less expensive to be visible bodies doing nothing but driving and texting while they are driving around town, or sleeping in the school zones in the morning. No New Taxes!!! We are all on a fixed income, learn to manage this town as a business, but remember we are not Timken.
Bring back "Free" community service people to help with some of the street work, washing ONE cruiser, & cemetery work. STOP the double dipping!!! Our Administrative Clerk needs to be in the office 40 hours a week for the public, she is a PUBLIC EMPLOYEE!! She works for us!!! And stop paying her $200. a month for cleaning the building when she is already being paid to be there as an administrative clerk. It's simple just ad cleaning to her responsibilities. If she would stay there and was not out screwing council members on company time she would have time to do her work and clean!!! Again, FACTUAL Information, I have seen her car at the councilman house 5 days a week between 9 and 5 PM & everywhere but at the town hall where she should be. WASTED time & money!
And one councilwoman was fired from the village because she did a horrible job as administrative clerk and cost the village thousands of dollars.
This is who we have representing and handling our hard earned money?? Not me, Vote For Fred Pisani, at least he raised 235,000 for waterline extension through a grant. He can write grants and bring money into the village. he supports activities to keep the children of the village out of trouble. Vote for Scott Hanood, who understands what community is all about! He is raising a young family in Waynesburg and is faced with some of the same challenges as you and I. Don't give up, Get out and Vote! Let's get some new leadership that truly cares for the community
