Kent Ring Earns Black Belt

Kent Ring was presented with his Black Belt by Dr. Michael Dunphy on September 24th. Kent has been training at the Center for Martial Arts for over 5 years. His discipline is known as Sogobuo which is a Japanese Samurai style that combines percussion (striking) grapplng (wrestling) and weapons such as the tanbo and nunchaku. Kent has also mastered various kata forms excels in sparring. Kent is a 6th grade student at Faircrest Memorial Middle School. He is member of Boy Scout Troop 203. Kent is the son of Donna and John Ring. His sister, Calista, attends Amos McDannel.
