East Canton resident, Emily Weisend, spent the weekend of June 25-27, competing in the Special Olympics. The events were held at Jesse Owens stadium, on the campus of Ohio State.
Emily finished first in the 100meter dash with a time of 20.6 seconds. She also competed in the softball throw placing 2nd with a throw over 7 meters.
