On Wednesday evening, June 24th, the East District Athletic Board of the Ohio High School Athletic Association held its annual Scholar Athletic Banquet at Belmont Hills Country Club. Fourteen East District student athletes were honored for their outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments during their four years of high school education. Vincent Fonte from Sandy Valley and Collin Brown from Malvern were honored for each receiving a scholarship. Rock VanFossen, Sandy Valley High School Administrative Assistant, presented these awards to these two athletes.
Mr. & Mrs. VanFossen were also honored that evening for their 23 years of dedication to the East District Athletic Board of Directors.
