FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- Fortuna Duesseldorf has signed Japanese winger Genki Omae from Shimizu S-Pulse from January.
Omae's contract with the promoted team runs through June 30, 2015.
Duesseldorf sports director Wolf Werner says "we've signed a quick and dangerous attacking player."
The 22-year-old Omae scored 13 goals in the J-League last season.
Fortuna returned to the Bundesliga this season and is currently 13th in the table, with four wins, six draws and five losses.
