Struggling Arsenal ties Fulham in Premier League


LONDON (AP) -- Arsenal squandered a two-goal lead and Mikel Arteta's penalty kick was saved in stoppage time Saturday, giving Fulham a 3-3 draw in the English Premier League.

Arsenal is off to its worst start in the league since Arsene Wenger became manager in 1996.

Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski sent Arsenal in front, but Fulham pulled even before halftime on headers by Dimitar Berbatov and Alex Kacaniklic.

Berbatov put Fulham ahead on a penalty kick in the 67th minute. Two minutes later, Giroud's header made it 3-3. Arteta had a chance to win it for Arsenal but failed on his penalty kick.

Everton beat Sunderland 2-1 to stay fourth and ahead of West Bromwich Albion, which won at Wigan by the same score. Winless Queens Park Rangers is last after losing 1-0 at Stoke. Southampton moved up a point after drawing 1-1 with Swansea.
